As you already know, CCA stand down till around mid may. Please use this time to study hard for your mid year exams. Band members must not only excel in music, but in your studies too. You must aim to be the school's best!
Just a little prelude to what will be happening for the band when practices resume:
1) New pieces for concerts and performances
2) Possible year end trip/competition/concert (to be confirmed)
3) June Band Camp!!!
4) Focus on teaching your juniors since they have been slightly neglected due to SYF
5) Brush up and build fundamental skills
6) Band outing after exams
Many more.....keep your suggestions flowing in.
One important issue:
NO CHANGING OF INSTRUMENTS unless we say so. We will NOT tolerate nonsense from members. Be contented where you are. If you are lousy at it, ask yourself, have you tried hard enough?
Also, when we say you need to improve and that you are lousy at certain things, you go practice those things. Don't be a loser by insisting that it's not your fault and bleah........ Empty vessels make the most noise.....
Enough said. Study hard and we look forward to seeing a dedicated and serious band after the exams.
Good luck
Mr Tang
